Little Christmas Ladies
I'm back tonight with two more Christmas cards...Thank you to everyone who commented so kindly on my previous Christmas cards...So glad you liked them..
This little lady with her muff is so sweet..I used two different red themed papers for her background..I then added a shiny strip of gold ric rac to the bottom of the frame and placed three big poinsettias, with gold pearl centers, around the card...There is lots of glitter, for a nice sparkle, on her hat and muff but the camera didn't pick it up, unfortunately...
This second young lady is also posing with her toasty warm muff...I used a red and white stripe paper for the background and framed the picture on a piece of solid red card stock..I framed her in a wobbly pattern of gold string pearls and added a very fancy strip of white lace to the bottom..The top of the lace has a red and gold cording woven together...A red poinsettia, with a gold center pearl, sits in the top left corner..Her muff, the fur trim on her hat and coat are glittered, but again, not showing very well...Gotta love the big red bow on her hat...
I have a few more Christmas cards to post later, or tomorrow...Thanks so much, once again, for taking the time to look at my cards...I know how busy things are right now...Hope you are all enjoying the magic and joy of the Christmas Season...Kathy

Christmas Cards..Vintage Snow Lady, Skating Couple..
I have finally finished my Christmas cards for this year..I would like to have made more but time ran out..So, I am posting two today and some more tomorrow..This first card is my favorite, I think..I love this pretty Victorian lady in the snow holding her muff..The gorgeous background papers are from Graphic 45 and I think they have a nice antique look to them..I framed the picture with a gold paper border and added a piece of pretty vintage lace at the bottom..The snowflakes have blue gems in the center and there is lots of glitter on the card..If you click on the picture you can see it better..I rounded the corners to soften the look and I think it makes the card look more vintage..
I also love this old fashioned ice skating couple..I used two different blue papers for the background to give a wintry feel to the card and added a piece of paper doily to the bottom, which kind of reminds me of snowflakes..The two adhesive snowflakes are very sparkly and give a bit of an icy feel..I love rounding the corners of these cards, it just goes with the look, I think....I'm finding both cards show up much better, for some reason, if you click on the pictures..
Thank you for stopping by to see my Christmas cards..There are more to come..Kathy

Two Christmas Cards
Well, I am finally back with a couple of Christmas cards...I have been in a mess with a kitchen renovation and my time, art space and creativity have totally been interrupted..Things are almost back to normal now but I am so far behind on my card making and trying very hard to catch up.....
I also had problems with my blog..The background, pink stripe, just up and went missing..Thanks to my dear friend, Penny, at ArtHaven, I am back in business..Penny, thank you so much for fixing this for me..You are an Angel....
So, first up is a little present card all wrapped up and ready to be opened on Dec. 25th..I cut the shape, added the green and white polka dot paper, a paper lace doily, a strip of red ribbon and two red flowers to kinda make it look like a bow on top of the package..I then added gold pearls to the center and a few on the little Santa gift card..The 25 are little tiny stickers..My camera kept distorting the shape of this card, for some reason and this is the best photo I could get but it's still not quite right....
This little card I made for a very dear friend..His name is Howard and he will be 101 years old in January..He was my neighbor for 25 years and he is now in a nursing home..I miss him so much..He always had fantastic stories to tell, like the time he house sat for Julia Child..He is such a dear, sweet man and was always very interested in my art..He was my biggest fan and supporter..
I used a subdued green, polka dot paper on this card and all the images are from a beautiful sheet of Graphic 45 paper..I made the one on the left into a present with a fabric rose on top and a bit of netting and ribbon..I glittered the berries in red for some sparkle..I think the sentiment fits Howard perfectly..
I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog today and I am working super hard on lots of cards so I will be back with more soon..Thank you for your support and kind comments...I hope everyone is enjoying the preparations, excitement and magic of the Christmas Season...Kathy

Christmas Cupcake Ornament
Yup, another cupcake but this one is an ornament for a Christmas swap over at ArtHaven...The ornament is actually a little blackboard with a wooden frame...It measures about 3"x3"...I got my acrylics out and painted a chocolate cupcake with pink frosting and green cupcake pants...I then painted little colored candy bits in red and green on the frosting and cute a little sprig of holly...I painted the frame in red and white stripes to give the feeling of a candy cane...I added some German glass glitter to the cupcake for sparkle, but it doesn't show up very well in the photo...There's a thin gold cord attached at the top for hanging...
I'm busy making my Christmas cards and will have some to share soon...I also made another ornament and will share that soon, as well...My tree is up and decorated but I still have much to do and Christmas is only 3 weeks away...I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying some holiday planning...Thank you for stopping by my blog today...I appreciate it so much and love your kind comments...See you again soon...Kathy
