Spring Tag

I made this Spring Tag for a swap at my ArtHaven group..I think the pretty lady looks very springlike...The pink roses are made of paper and I have been wanting to use them for awhile, but could never find just the right project for them...I added a little white lace, punched out the butterfly in two pieces, then glued them together just at the body so that the wings stand up and look more dimensional...Added some pearls and a pink ribbon to tie the tag to a package, or to hang it from a wreath...I'm looking forward to ArtHaven's new April swaps which will be posted soon at the group site...

Silhouette

I love silhouettes and over in my ArtHaven group one of the swaps this month was to do a silhouette card..I got an image in my head right away of what I wanted to do and here it is..I used a wood mounted stamp for the lovely ladies and kept it simple with just the two different polka dot papers and the check ribbon and bow around the frame...I did have to ink up the ladies quite a bit, by hand, since the stamp left a lot of unfinished areas...I really enjoyed making this card and will do more silhouettes in the future...

Getting Started

I'll start off my new blog with a card that I made, awhile back, for a friend...The lovely image is from VintageBella..I used some pretty scrap papers for the background, adhesive pearls, pink German scrap to frame the image and a bit of paper lace... I topped it off with a beautiful pink rose from Prima...Inside I stamped 'Thinking Of You" in green...
