Buggy Birthday Card

My friend, Robbie, will be 7 years old this week so I made him a buggy birthday card...I drew the cupcake then cut the shape out of card stock..I've had this cute bug paper in my stash for awhile but never had an occasion to use it until now..I painted the chipboard #7 in green and then glittered it...Added a big, red gemstone for the cherry on top and some busy stick on ladybugs who seem to like this treat very much...I stamped Happy Birthday on the inside in blue...

I hope Robbie likes it and doesn't think bugs on a cupcake are yucky...Do think they are yucky?..I think they're cute...Thank you for visiting my blog and I wish you all a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving..........Kathy

Thank You Cards

Shirley from my ArtHaven group asked us if we would like to make Thank You cards for cancer patients...She will put them in a pretty basket and they can choose which ones they would like and use them as needed...Here are two that I made...I used the pretty papers and a pink and green theme, some paper lace, ribbon and lots of pearls..Inside I stamped "Thank You for Everything."

Shirley also makes and distributes fabulous journals to cancer patients...Many people have sent their lovely journals to her, as well, and they are a huge hit and a wonderful way for people to express their thoughts or keep track of things as they go through a most difficult time..I have never done a journal but hope to make some after the holidays...Thank you Shirley for all you do and for allowing me to be a part of it..

So, it's on to Christmas cards now...I am gathering my supplies and rummaging through my stash...Hope everyone is doing well and thanks so much for stopping by my blog......Kathy
