Black & White and Pink Card

This lovely, young lady doesn't seem too happy about having her picture taken..I really like the black & white, vintage photo, however, and I thought she would look so pretty for my Pink Card swap at ArtHaven...We could use as much pink as we wanted, lots, or just a splash..I guess I chose sort of in between...I like the combination of black & white and pink and this is what I came up with...

I used pink and white paper flowers, pink paper lace and a background of pink and white, stripe paper for the photo..I punched out some floral butterflies and added tiny white pearls to them...The background of black &white floral paper is one of my favorites..I rounded the corners of the card to soften the look a bit..The lovely, young lady is from paperwhimsy....I love their vintage images...

I hope everyone made it through Hurricane Irene safely...We did okay here and I didn't lose power, but so many did, not too far away, and the devastation is just awful in so many areas..

I'm not sure what I will be creating next..I'm thinking autumn and Halloween and a birthday card for my sister...I thank you, once again, for visiting my blog and I hope you come again soon...Kathy

I'm loving your "pink" card! I am jealous it is headed to Celeste (kidding) but know she will just be thrilled. Love it, Kathy! You did real good!!! Diann

Kathy, a very beautiful card! Thanks for sharing it. That could have been me getting my picture took - I hated it! I don't think I smiled in any of them! LOL!

Very pretty Kathy. Probably she was trying very hard to hold still for the picture.
