Day At The Beach Tag

Summer Fun
Here is a vintage look, summer tag I made awhile back..I love the vintage beach look...I used bluish colored papers for a watery feel and added a bit of lace, white gauze, a few summery flowers and pearls...The lovely ladies in the water are the perfect focal point, I think..

Thank you for visiting my blog...I'll be making some birthday cards soon...Kathy

Vintage Floral Postcard

Front of Postcard

We had a postcard swap in my art group..The theme was spring..I was in a drawing mood so I got out my colored pencils and had fun drawing all of these big and tiny, little flowers..I edged both sides of the postcard with walnut stain to give a vintage look..I used my stamps for the words and postal date..

I have lots more to share with you soon..Thank you for visitin my blog today..Happy Spring to all!!

Valentine Tags

Happy Valentine's Day

I made these Valentine tags for a swap in my OCT art group..It was a 3 for 3 swap..I used the hearts and striped pattern papers...The little girl in pink is a picture from my stash..I painted some wooden hearts in a bright red then lettered them with my white gel pen..A pretty ruffled lace at the bottom of each tag just made it seem more frilly for Valentine's day...

We are buried in snow here in Boston..Wow!! I've never seen so much..More on the way, too..I hope you have a very Happy Valentine's Day and thank you for visiting my blog......Kathy

Baby Girl Card

Sweet Little Paige
I made this baby card for my friend's first grandchild..I love the Graphic 45 image..It was so much fun adding the pretty little buttons and bow..Paige is spelled out in chipboard letters that I painted pink..I dotted the i with a cute little pink heart shaped pearl..
On the inside I hand lettered the poem, which I am not very good at..I love the poem and have for many years...I stamped the hearts in a very soft pink...Thanks for visiting my blog...Time to make Christmas cards now...............Kathy

Happy Halloween!!!!   I Love this time of year..I made a couple of Halloween cards and really had fun with them..I took the fashion ladies and turned them into bat lovers...Added some fall leaves and a bat pumpkin..

The witch is tangled in a spider web and her pet bat, Boris, is ready to land on her shoulder..The spiders are creeping around on their web...I stretched out a gauze pad for the web...Hope you enjoy my creepy cards...Enjoy your Halloween and thanks for visiting my blog.....Kathy

50th Anniversary Card-Old Hollywood

The Happy Couple

Inside
I made this 50th anniversary card for my brother and sister in law..I was going for an Old Hollywood look and I think I got it...I just love this photo and it is so typical of Old Hollywood from the 1930's...I kept it simple beause I think the couple and the gold 50 tells the whole story..I just added a bit of paper lace and framed the photo with gold Dresden..On the inside I stamped the hearts in a very pale pink to add to the romance of the card..Hope you like it..

Time to start Halloween cards..Thank you for visiting my blog today...Happy Anniversary Don and Marsha....Kathy

Cheryl's Awesome Watercolor Painting

Time For Lunch by Cheryl M.
I am sharing with you today this beautiful watercolor painted by my daughter, Cheryl, when she was a senior in art school...Sadly, she passed away shortly after...The detail is amazing and the colors so perfect...I finally framed it and have it hanging in my kitchen where it has become the focal point of the room...

Cheryl was a gifted artist with an amazing talent in all areas of art...She was, also, the most beautiful person I have ever known...I think she would love having her art displayed on my blog...I hope you enjoy seeing a piece of her work and thanks so much for stopping by...Kathy

Love you and miss you so, my sweet girl...XOXO     Mom
